    This question comes up often, but all financial institutions must be aware of the regulatory guidelines that must be followed when accepting money with sources to the cannabis industry. Depositors could be employees, vendors, consultants and others who have income directly or indirectly from Cannabis Related Businesses and failure of bank or credit unions to follow necessary steps can result in negative audit findings, fines, or more.

  • What is so critical about Cannabis Banking anyway?

    Simply put, the rapidly growing cannabis industry (estimated to be over $100B by 2030) still finds itself woefully 'underbanked' with only about 300 institutions currently banking cannabis related businesses nationally.
