About this Event

Event Description

Cash remains dominant in the cannabis industry, creating unique challenges for banks and credit unions. This webinar reviews treasury solutions that reduce the operational, security, and compliance risks associated with large volumes of cash. We’ll discuss armored transport, vaulting services, cash recyclers, and deposit verification technology, as well as how to integrate these into a broader BSA/AML framework.

In addition to operational considerations, this session will provide a deeper educational focus on how financial institutions can structure comprehensive cash-management programs tailored for cannabis clients. Attendees will gain insight into risk-based approaches for setting deposit thresholds, creating policies that align with FinCEN guidance, and implementing layered internal controls to ensure transparency.

The webinar will also highlight best practices from peer institutions, case examples of technology integration, and strategies for balancing customer service with examiner expectations.
